The well-known dancehall performer is getting ready to release his new album, “Great Is He.”
With the tune “We Caa Done,” renowned reggae musician Popcaan is assisting his followers in ringing in the new year. The four-minute song, which features Drake, had its streaming platform debut along with an official music video.
The song “We Caa Done” has a catchy melody and lyrics that are given by both performers. The music video for the new song features Popcaan and Drake having a good time while jet skiing and partying on a yacht.
Popcaan, who was born Andrae Hugh Sutherland in Jamaica, became well-known in the early 2010s as a result of his work with Vybez Kartel and several popular solo songs. Since then, he has established himself as a highly successful international performer, later collaborating with musicians like Jorja Smith and the Gorillaz.
Popcaan’s most recent Drake collaboration is in this song. The songs “My Chargie,” “TWIST & TURN,” and “All I Need” by the Dancehall sensation featured the two previously working together. Vanquish, his debut effort with the label was released in 2019. He also recently joined Drake’s OVO Sound.
Popcaan spoke candidly on the future of music in a 2020 piece for the FADER, saying, “I want people to understand the energy of dancehall music. Dancehall music need not contain a certain sound to be categorised as such.
Then he continued, “I also want to promote more international collaborations that would integrate the melding of diverse genres.
