The surreal pair shared a seat Wednesday during the Grizzlies vs. Hornets game (January 4).

It sure seems like a while has passed since DaBaby was in the news for the right reasons. After making divisive remarks at Rolling Loud in 2021, the rapper has been rather silent.

Nevertheless, the 31-year-old seems to be having a good time. He watched the game on the court alongside Ja Morant’s father, Tee, on Wednesday (January 4).

The surprising couple can be seen watching live basketball play between the Charlotte Hornets and Morant’s Memphis Grizzlies in the amusing video.

“OG is here tonight, I got him. in agreement with the referees. Man, this is my dog right here. Do you understand what I’m saying? It’s up right here. I’m applying pressure to these boys since I got him in here tonight. DaBaby bragged, “I got Melo for 12.”

“These officials behave as though we were playing in Memphis. Don’t get me wrong, but the officials are acting like we’re playing in motherf*cking Memphis, he says.

The Grizzlies handily defeated the Hornets with a final score of 131-107, which was bad news for DaBaby. With his 23 points and eight assists, Morant helped his team win, bringing their season record up to 24-13.

The Grizzlies All-Star appears to have given DaBaby’s mother a signed jersey after the game, though.

The rapper’s most recent album, Baby On Baby 2, significantly undersold, according to other news. Only 17,200 apartments were sold in the project’s first week, according to reports. Baby On Baby, in contrast, sold 124,000 units.

Then, he vented on social media, claiming he was being blackballed and expressed his annoyance. A few musicians, notably Boosie Badazz, supported him as well.

“Ain’t no way my n*gga @DaBabyDaBaby supposed to sell 16k after selling almost 150k his last first week!! he is one of the BIGGEST n this sh*t!! I DON’T KNOW WHATS GOING ON BUT SOMETHING IS GOING ON!!” writes the “Wipe Me Down” rapper in a tweet.
